I’m sure we have all heard the famous guitar myths going around. The forbidden riffs, stairway to heaven, smoke on the water, smells like teen spirit. If you play any of them in a guitar center, will you actually get kicked out?

Well for years I wondered the exact same thoughts. I am actually one of the very few who actually put that to the test! I’ve created several videos where I put that specific myth to the test! You can find them here.

To no surprise, it’s just a myth! The famous forbidden riff originated from the movie, Wayne’s World. Which I actually watched for the first time not too long ago. It’s just an ongoing joke where Stairway to Heaven is just so overplayed in guitar stores, that employees can’t stand it anymore. But trust me guys, I’ve played stairway to heaven countless of times while in a guitar store. And nothing has ever happened. Not even once. So feel free to play the forbidden riff all you want!

Gear of the Week

For the past week or two, I have been jamming on a new acoustic bass that I rented. And I think I might actually buy it. I love just having to not plug into and relying on an amp. That’s why I consider myself primarily an acoustic player. So acoustic basses are awesome!

Updates with me

OKAY MY PEOPLE! So as you can probably see, I have been posting a lot more regularly now! I’ve came to the conclusion that I just need to post more shorts onto my channel to keep you guys entertained! So I hope you guys have been enjoying all the new content.
