I personally think, getting creative with your right hand (strumming hand) makes playing so much more fun. I love getting crazy with my strumming hand. I feel like it can really change/set the vibe and tone for the sound you are trying to make. With that being said. Here are some of my tips/tricks I use to really get that strumming hand working!

Firstly, how do I hold a pick? I don’t think this is a topic that should be discussed that much. I hate how people make it more complicated than what it should be. I hold a pick with my thumb, and pointer finger. That’s it. Nothing else needed. So as for strumming. When I am strumming just a casual pop/folk song that is calm and not crazy rhythm. I strum using my entire forearm. My entire forearm moves in line with my wrist. That way it is nice and controlled. But when I am playing a more funky time, or just getting more creative with doing stuff like palm muting. I only use my wrist. I twist and turn only my wrist for more intense strumming. That right there guys, is my secret for making my strumming more enjoyable.

Also, if anyone else is interested, I made a strumming tutorial video 5 years ago back when I was still in highschool. So watch it if you want! But just be prepared, I look very different haha.

I recently bought my first ever Wah Pedal! And wow, it’s so much fun! I’ve played it every single day since I got it. Basically its an effect pedal that gives a “wah wah” sound to the tone of your guitar. You kind of have to hear it to understand it haha.

Updates with me

New Year is here! And I just uploaded a new short onto YouTube and all my other platforms! Currently still working on my next longform video! Its been a bit tough because I’ve been so busy with family and the holidays. But we are starting this year off strong!

I am planning on doing a livestream this week. So stay tuned for that!

I hope everyone had a great New Years Eve and day. So glad we’re bringing my newsletter into 2025. And thank God we left Vexbolts in 2024. Also, did anyone watch the new Squid Game season? I just finished it. And damn it was so good haha. Had me on the edge of my seat the entire time! I hope Gi-Hun gets vengeance next season.
